Opening of the Darmstadt Museum of Industrial Culture

Last Friday, the Darmstadt Museum of Industrial Culture was officially opened under the patronage of Mayor Hanno Benz. We were honored to attend as guests and witness this important contribution to the preservation of Darmstadt’s industrial history.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Marjam Schelhaas and the Verein Industriekultur Darmstadt e.V. for their tremendous dedication to making Darmstadt’s industrial development visible and tangible. Companies such as Merck, Göbel, Schenck, the Alter furniture factory, and many others stand for our city’s strong industrial tradition.

We are particularly pleased that Donges is also part of this exhibition. Since 1872, steel construction has been at the heart of Donges. This long-standing tradition closely connects our company history with the industrial history of Darmstadt. Seeing this heritage represented in the exhibition is an important sign of appreciation for us.

Our tip: Take a trip back in time yourself and visit the exhibition at Liebigstraße 16 in Darmstadt’s Johannesviertel.
