The river bridge was designed as a tied-arch deck bridge with vertical supports and composite roadway slabs. The steel structure was completely pre-assembled on the shore, then moved to its final position using self-propelled platform trucks and floated into place with pontoon support. The roadway slab was made of cast-in-place concrete.
